This Christmas was one of those Christmases our family will never forget.
As December 25th approached at rapid speed, we read the Christmas Story every night and talked about how when we give gifts it is to remember Jesus, the greatest gift ever given. Drew would tell me how much Santa loved God and I would agree.
With all the decorations and preparations the wonder and excitement of Christmas Eve was finally here! As we were getting ready for bed, Drew reminded me that we needed a special snack for Santa. I suggested eggnog and cookies but Drew had another idea. He said we should leave 6 kisses for Santa, so right next to his stocking on the mantle were 6 kisses unwrapped and ready for consumption.
The next morning he woke up and went into the living room and stood in front of the tree. With sleepy morning eyes he didn't see his present from Santa which happened to be right behind him. After opening his first gift and throwing the paper, he saw his gift from Santa. He was so relieved and excited he yelled, "Oh, there it is!" When he went to open the gift there was a note from Santa thanking him for the kisses. He ran to the mantle and saw that the kisses were gone and exclaimed "Santa loves kisses!" It's a Christmas memory we'll always cherish.
Do you have any special pictures of the Christmas holiday or memories you'd like to share? We'd love to see them!!!
