One of my worst fears as a parent is losing my daughter in a public place. So far I have been lucky and I have not found myself separated from her, but she is still really young. I know as she becomes more independent and curious it is bound to happen at least once.
I was talking to a good friend of mine about this, and she told me that when she visits places like Silver Dollar City with her kids (4 years and 1 year) that she places a piece of paper with her name and cell phone number in her 4-year-old daughter's pocket. She has explained to her daughter that if they get separated she should find the nearest employee in costume and hand him or her the slip of paper. This makes her feel more confident that in the event that her child does become lost their reunion will be that much quicker. I also know as a long time visitor of Silver Dollar City that they place the highest priority on guest's safety at the park. I feel confident that the employees are well trained to reunite me with my daughter should we become separated when visiting the park. Though, I think the next time we visit I will try my friend's trick, just to be extra careful. Set as favorite Bookmark
