Celebration City Opens Friday!

roaringfallssplash.jpgCelebration City opens Friday with a new 5-story water ride-ROARING FALLS! This new family ride features a 55-degree drop with a final 50-foot plummet into the wild Amazon water. 

To get an idea of what kind of splash you're in for... check out my sneak-peak demo ride photo.  This splash was achieved with ride "dummies."  For an animated virtual ride, you can hop over to Celebration City's main site. Park officials say when the boats are loaded with real riders the splash should be even more spectacular. (I think we all need to prepare to get really wet!) My kids love water rides and it looks like Roaring Falls will top this season's must-do ride list.

All this talk of water rides reminds me that I need to buy a new swimsuit. I don't look forward to that task. It's not fun. Dressing room mirrors take no prisoners. I've put it off for a number of years. But, my old suit is rather ragged and I'm not certain it can make one more trip around White Water's Lazy River, not to mention a maiden voyage down the raging Amazon rapids of Roaring Falls. To avoid extreme embarrassment, I must embark on a 2008 swimsuit buying expedition.
