Well, we survived my daughter's first visit with Santa, but let me tell you it wasn't pretty! I didn't really expect that a two-year-old would enjoy visiting with the jolly old elf. (We can't even get her to sit on her Grampa's lap!)
But, I thought it might be fun to give it a try, anyway. I attempted to get her prepared to see Santa by showing her The Santa Clause movie and teaching her Santa's special laugh, "Ho, Ho, Ho!" But, for all of my efforts she still howled at the sight of that strange white-haired man in the red suit. I can't really blame her, and I bet that in the not so distant future a visit with Santa will become a beloved holiday tradition. Until then I am sharing some of our more enjoyable holiday moments with you MomsBloggers in the Your City photo gallery. There is plenty that we have enjoyed during our Christmas visits to SDC this season like the Frosty show and the other (non-Santa related) activities in Kringles Krossing. Please post your holiday photos online to share! I got the funniest email from my father-in-law of kids crying on Santa's lap. It made me feel good to know I am not the only mother with a child who's not so fond of the Christmas icon. How did your kids react to their first visit with Santa? Post your comments below or log in and share your photos. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
