You've finally done it. You have faced the fact that no matter how much you try to stop it bathing suit season has come upon you. Maybe you've used those tanning lotions that promise warm glowing skin, and you've been visiting the gym daily in preparation. Or maybe you're like me and you just pull out your trusty old bathing suit that covers right where you need it to and slather on the SPF 50. In any event, you're ready to enjoy some fun in the summer sun.
And, your kids are ecstatic! They can't wait to visit White Water and go down every slide...twice! But, once again the always prepared Mom is carrying a large bag of the essentials - sun screen, change of clothes, wallet, etc. But what happens when you and the kids are enjoying a carefree ride down Raging River Rapids and you pass a Dippin' Dots stand on the way back to your lounge chair? It's been a wonderful day, and you want your kids to enjoy a cool, tasty treat (plus you could use some water yourself). In the past, it meant a trek back to your locker or lounge chair to retrieve your wallet, then back to the stand with impatient kids in tow.
That's where my tip for this week comes in....purchase a Beach Bucks wristband. The new Beach Bucks program at White Water is the most convenient way to eat, play and shop at White Water. Simply purchase a Beach Bucks wristband at the Guest Relations window as you enter, or at Beach Rentals inside the park. The easy-access wristbands can be activated with the dollar amount you choose, and work just like cash at shops and restaurants - without the hassle of carrying your wallet.
There are two wristbands to choose from:
- One-time use wristbands are free of charge, and can be activated for $15 or $25 at any Ticket Window.
- Rechargeable wristbands are only $3 each, and can be used all season long. Purchase these multi-visit wristbands at Guest Relations.
All wristband denominations are available at Guest Relations, maximum $50.
I know I'll be getting a rechargeable band to use all summer when I visit. It might also be a good idea to purchase a one-time use band for your child who can spend it as he or she pleases without bothering you for cash throughout the day, and you won't have to worry about the band getting lost.
