Tom Sawyer's Landing Closed Now for All-NEW Family Fun Ride in 2009!

Okay, so I've been by Tom Sawyer's Landing a few times and noticed it was closed, but little did I realize that it is undergoing some big changes that will result in an exciting all NEW family fun ride in 2009!  Apparently they are doing a complete overhaul so Tom Sawyers will be closed for the rest of the year.  Watch the website because they'll be spilling the beans soon as to what the new attraction will be!  Any guesses?

Oh I've got a guess. I just hope that at least some of the revamped area will provide some of the good ole' fashion dry fun that the old Landing did.

I'll be looking for lots of cool Mark Twain stuff in the area. Maybe even a roaming Aunt Polly in the area. I'm hoping for more than just a wet ride.

While my kids would have a different opinion, I can't say I am sorry to see Tom Sawyers Landing closed. The entire area always makes me so nervous! The thought of there being kids EVERYWHERE and so many different exits. It is really hard to keep an eye on all of them every minute. I hope one of the improvements to the area is one way in and one way out.
