Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Performs Friday- Save Me a Front Row Seat!

I know summer officially starts June 21, but typically by late May we’re swimming and feeling the warmth of the summer sun. I’m ready for the fireflies to dart about my yard, chasing the remnants of a setting sun. I’m even longing for the heat and humidity. (This statement may come back to haunt me.) In the midst of this unseasonably cool spring, the month of May has come and now… almost gone. I can’t believe it’s already the last week of the Bluegrass & BBQ Festival. This Friday, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band performs at the City, in a special Echo Hollow evening concert. I’ve enjoyed this group’s music since… well, I really don’t need to date myself. Let’s just say, for several years. I plan to take my three sons, teenager included, and introduce them to the sounds of traditional bluegrass and the legendary Dirt Band. I know my sons will appreciate the BBQ. That’s a given! The SDC Riverside Rib House is our family's favorite on park restaurant. The opportunity to enjoy other types of BBQ during the festival will definitely appeal to my kids. Hopefully, by the end of this week, warmer temps and clearer skies will prevail. I’m keeping my spirits high and my sights on front row seats!
