Q: Renae asks, "Now that the really hot weather is here has the parks slowed down? We are taking the kids to SDC this weekend. Just wondering what the lines might be like."

A: Actually, summertime (even in the heat of July) is the busiest time of year for the parks.  You will probably need to plan on lines being a little bit longer than usual, especially for the water rides like Lost River and high thrill rides like WildFire.  Just be sure to wear cool comfortable clothes that will dry easily (if you plan to ride the water rides).  And ...don't forget your sunscreen!

Silver Dollar City does provide free cups of water at all of the restaurants and concession stands that have a soda fountain.  You will definitely want to stay hydrated as you enjoy the park.  Don't forget, SDC also has a great line-up of shows that will get you out of the heat - for a little while at least!
