Q: Renae asks, "Hi, we are going to be in Branson this weekend to see the Feet of Fire. Cheryl asked about the show lovers pass and now I am stressing. My family all have a season pass, it was my understanding that all the shows would be covered by the season pass. $10. a pop for a family of 5 hurts."

A: No worries, Renae!  All of Silver Dollar City's shows are included in your admission to the park, whether that be a one-day pass or season pass.  The Show Lover's Pass is a special guest service that SDC recently began offering.  Following is a short description of the program that I received from Brad, Silver Dollar City's Director of Entertainment.

"What began as a trial for a new guest service has received so many appreciative comments that we've made it a season-long courtesy in 2008.  We recognize that your time at Silver Dollar City is valuable.  So if you plan to spend some of that time enjoying some of our world-class shows, the Show Lover's Pass allows you to customize your day by purchasing show tickets for selected performances."

The Show Lover's Pass is a strictly optional convenience available for SDC guests.  The vast majority of seating for all SDC shows is free and available on a first-come-first-served basis.

When we were at SDC a couple of weekends ago, we went to see the Zunyi Acrobat show (which I would highly recommend). We too have season passes, and didn't do the show lovers pass. We waited in line for about 15 minutes and then walked into the theater and got front row seats. Yes, it was on a Sunday, but it wasn't the first show either. I saw the area roped off for the show lovers pass. I would estimate that maybe 20 people tops could have sat in that area. For a theater the size of the Opera Hall and the Heritage Hall (where Feet of Fire is), that is a very small percentage of seats blocked off. After about 10-15 minutes of being in the theater, they took down the ropes blocking off and allowed people to sit there also. I will say that when we got there, we went straight to the Grand Exposition. After riding several rides there, I ventured to the restroom and wasn't able to see the end of the line for the 11 show of Feet of Fire. So, I would recommend planning on spending some time in line. Luckily, the Grand Exposition is so close that inpatient members of your party can waste some time there! Have fun!!!
