Q: Can I bring in a packed lunch?

Q: Renae asks, "I would like to know if we I can take in a packed lunch and drinks for my family? Some Parks that I have been to in the past will not let you take food and drinks into the park."

A: Silver Dollar City does allow their guests to bring in a packed lunch and drinks. This is a great option for families trying to save on expenses. There are many shady places for you to sit and enjoy your meal, however, SDC does not have facilities for storing food items brought from home unless it is a medical issue. Some options might be carrying your lunch in a backpack, renting a locker on park or keeping your lunch in a cooler in the car (just be sure to get your hand stamped on the way out to the parking lot). They do reserve the right to inspect all coolers or bags enterting the park, as glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Hope this helps in planning your trip!

FYI...SDC no longer requires that you have your hand stamped for re-entry to the park. Just make sure you have your ticket with you.
