Q: For how long is a season pass valid?

Q: Rhonda asks, "What dates does a season pass cover.  If we are coming in August to visit and buy season passes does that mean we have a pass that is only good a few more weeks at the full price or are they good until next August (a full year after you purchase them)?"

A: A 2008 Silver Dollar City season pass is good through December 30, 2008. This may be something you want to consider when deciding whether to purchase one-day tickets or a season pass.  One nice thing about the SDC season pass is that it costs less than the price of 2 one-day admissions, so if you know you will be visiting the park more than two times before the end of the season it is a great value.

I'm not sure if you were also asking about Celebration City and White Water, but season passes for those parks are also only valid for the 2008 season.  Celebration City is open until October 25, 2008 and White Water is open until September 1, 2008.  You would not have as much time to utilize the benefits of those passes if you were to purchase them in August.  You may consider a ticket package like the CityHopper if you plan to visit all three of the parks during your vacation.  Also, you can upgrade your one-day or CityHopper tickets to a season pass during your visit to the park if you decide you will be coming back again during the season.
