Q: How can I keep my child warm during our visit this Christmas?
Posted by Mom411 in Questions
A: Layers, layers and more layers. You will probably spend quite a bit of time outdoors looking at the lights, watching the parade and others shows, so you will want to make sure your daughter stays warm enough. But, in case you also do some indoor activities you will need to be able to peel off the heavy layers. I typically dress my daughter in a long sleeved shirt and warm sweat suit type outfit then her heavy winter jacket, gloves and a hat. We also bring a blanket to wrap around her legs. That usually keeps her cozy enough in her stroller as we walk around the park. Hope you enjoy your trip! Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the great info. It will be put to good use. We are so excited about this weekend. We can hardly wait. I was also wondering your thoughts on a Show Lovers Pass. Would it be beneficial to us? I thought it might get us in the door quicker and her out of the cold. Thank you once again. Jodie |

I really hope you weren't one of the many moms in the line that we were forced to wait in for a bus to take us to the parking places outside of Silver Dollar City. We were in a line for an hour and forty five minutes waiting on a bus while people in line next to us were waiting on average of two minutes. I have loved Silver Dollar City all of my life and I have taken my children to the park many times... I will not be submitting my grandchildren to this fiasco at all. I sincerely miss the park and all that I know it can be. |
