Q: Renae says, "Hi, I would like to first say that I love this blog and thanks to all the Mom's that work on it. I would like to know about the Deer Run Motel that is near the park... We stay at the same place near old down town Branson on every visit we make to Branson. I want to try the Deer Run b/c it's so close to the park. The outside looks so nice and clean. Has anyone stayed in one of the rooms?"

A: Renae, thanks for your comments about the blog! I know I have really enjoyed answering all of the Moms' questions and reading the comments as well.  As a local, I have never stayed in any of the hotels near SDC, so it is difficult for me to try to answer your question.  I would suggest that you call the hotel directly for more information about the amenities or review sites such as TripAdvisor.com Yahoo.com or Expedia.com. These sites provide commentary and reviews from guests who have actually stayed or visited hotels and attractions in Branson.

We always stay at the Deer Run, very nice. It's not a high end hotel but it's so nice to come from that direction, you can get right to the park. They also have a shuttle but we've never used it. They have a continental breakfast, cold cereal, oatmeal, donuts, waffles, the usual. If you're coming into town and you're not going to make it to check in before a late hour they'll make arrangements to leave your key in a place you can get to it and check in in the morning (at least they will if you've stayed before, I don't know for sure if they will if it's your first time as a guest).

Thank's for the info. It's hard for me to stray from a place that I know is nice. I would love to hear from a few more that has stayed at the Deer Run or any other place that is close by.
