Q: Is there a place I can nurse my baby?
Posted by Mom411 in Questions
A: I don't know about you, but I always felt nervous anytime I had to nurse my daughter in public. Luckily, Silver Dollar City has provided several nursing stations on park that provide a comfortable and private environment for you to nurse your son. I brought my daughter to Silver Dollar City when she was 4 months, and it was such a relief to enter the quiet nursing station, sit down in a rocking chair and spend that time making sure my daughter's needs were met at her pace. Silver Dollar City's nursing stations are conveniently located in the restrooms by the Hospitality House on the square, next door to the Red Gold Heritage Hall restrooms near the Grand Exposition, in the Geyser Gulch play area near Splash Harbor and at The Wilson Family Farms near The Giant Swing.
Has anyone else used the nursing stations on park? What did you think?

The family assist restrooms are great too! I have a friend who is a single dad who felt like he couldn't take his young daughter to the park by himself because he didn't want to have to take her to men's room. But with the family assist restrooms, he faces one less issue. So he and his daughter can spend time enjoying the park together, and I know he wouldn't trade those times for anything! |

I haven't used the nursing station in the "City" but I used the one at Celebration City and boy was I impressed. I have heard the one at the "City" is nice and clean (the one next door to the Red Gold Heritage Hall). |

It's good to know that there are more nursing stations at SDC, the only one I've found is the one by the Red Gold Heritage Hall. While it is clean, it is spartan, at best. Just four hard rockers gathered in a circle. No sink, no place for older children to play, no comfort, privacy, or personality! I have used the nursing station at Celebration City, and it is amazing; far better than other nursing stations anywhere, including Orlando. I don't understand why a company that runs both theme parks would have such a great nursing station at one park, and such a mediocre one at the other. |
