Q: Is there a touring plan available?

Q: Lindy asks, "We will be coming to Silver Dollar City sometime in the week of June 6th-13th. We are interested in knowing if there is a touring plan available?

For example, something that tells you what rides are most popular but have the slowing moving lines? It would be our desire to arrive when the park opens and move quickly to the most popular rides first to avoid long lines. Is there anything out there like this? Thanks!"

A: I would recommend visiting the Silver Dollar City website to plan your trip prior to visiting.  There is a ton of information available on everything from rides to restaurant menus and shows.  You can also use the "Trip Plan" feature to save information about the activities that interest you most.  To use this feature, simply go to a specific attraction/ show/ restaurant page and select "Add to My Trip Plan" in the upper right hand corner of your screen.  Then you can print or even save your trip plan for future reference.  I would also recommend visiting the Schedules and Brochures section to download the maps and show schedules prior to your trip.

The only thing that you won't be able to find on the website would be the ride waits because that can vary greatly based on attendance.  The best way to avoid crowds and long lines would be to visit early, like you mentioned, and try to visit sometime during the week instead of on the weekend.  Generally on busy days the longest you would have to wait at the most popular attractions is around 1 hour.  And by most popular attractions I mean the water rides and high thrill rides like the Lost River, WildFire and Giant Swing.  I hope this information helps!
