Q: Lindsey asks, "We are planning on going to SDC July 4th weekend.. I have never been there before.. Do we need to bring our own towels for the water attractions or are they provided? Also.. Where is a good place to see fireworks there in the SDC area?

Thanks so much.."

A:  Towels are not provided at the water attractions, so you may want to bring some from home.  Usually I just wear lightweight clothes that dry quickly when I know I will be riding a lot of water rides. On hot days it actually feels pretty good to just air dry!  If you do decide to bring towels, you might want to leave them in a locker on park.  Lockers are available for rent on a first-come-first served basis and are located behind the Ticket Booths, at Lost River Of The Ozarks, Wildfire®, PowderKeg® and outside of the Hospitality House.  The cost for lockers is $ .50 for each entry.

Celebration City has a nightly laser show and fireworks spectacular that you might consider.  There are also a couple of traditional fireworks displays that I know of, and it really depends on where you are staying as to which one I would recommend.  If you plan to stay closer to the Branson area, then you may want to look into watching the display presented by Chateau on the Lake.  You would likely be able to see it well from the Tablerock Dam area.  If you are staying more in the Branson West/ Kimberling City area then you will want to find out more about the fireworks display presented by Kimberling City.  Check with the front desk at your lodging facility and they may have some more ideas for you.

Hope you have a fabulous July 4th
