Q: Angel asks, "My grandmother used to take me to Branson every year since I was 2 yrs old and I absolutely loved it. Now I have a family of my own and am looking forward to taking them. We are making reservations for June 6th-8th. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on things a 3 year old might enjoy as far as shows, rides, exhibits, etc. My son is only 1 so I know he may be a little too young. Any suggestions or insight would be helpful.  Thanks So Much!"

A: My Silver Dollar City memories also began with my grandmother, so I think it is neat you are continuing the tradition she started with you!  You have actually scheduled your trip for one of the best times to bring a family to the park.  Kids' Fest begins on June 7th, and most of the shows and activities are geared toward entertaining you and your little ones.

I think both of your kids will enjoy the new Circus of the Century on Ice show.  What isn't fun about the Circus, especially when it's indoors - and on ice!?!  Your 1 year old might also enjoy the new VeggieTales show, The Invention of Silliness.  I am looking forward to taking my daughter to see that show this summer.  Both of your kids will be amazed by the Kids Concoctions activity area, there are all kinds of eewy and gooey things for them to interact with, like Magic Muck and Gooey Gunk!

We also just received another question similar to yours regarding activities for toddlers.  Please check out my response there for some ideas on rides and attractions that will be fun for your family.  Hope you have an enjoyable trip!  Be sure to take some pictures to share with us when you get home.

I just returned from a great day at SDC with my two girls, we discovered a good activity for children, the Homestead Barnyard. The girls were able to hold and pet rabbits and see chicks, ducks, and a miniature horse named Cotton. My girls loved this and are already planning their return visit.I think this would be great for toddlers.
