Q: What's Your Favorite Food to Eat at Silver Dollar City?
Posted by Mom411 in Questions
A: Melissa, this is a great question! And...a tough one for me to answer. I honestly cannot remember a time I have visited the park and NOT had something to eat. I love all of the unique and delicious foods available at Silver Dollar City, plus the theme park favorites like funnel cakes, ice cream and frozen lemonade.
Something that's pretty unique to the park is open air skillet cooking. Help yourself to the mouth watering Family Feud Succotash or Harvest Skillet cooked right in front of you in enormous five foot skillets. I guarantee it will turn your head and probably get your stomach growling when you walk by!
I'm going to open this one up for the other moms to chime in, but you might also visit the Food & Restaurant Guide at silverdollarcity.com just to give you some ideas prior to your trip.

I never miss a visit to the Taste of America during SDC's Harvest Festival. They serve the most delicious Pork Tenderloin Sandwich at the Heartland Booth. But, it is huge so you may want to bring a friend to share it with! |

Ooh, I LOVE the Family Feud Succotash, too! It's my favorite and I never miss out on getting my 'fix' when we visit SDC. But hey, can someone tell me if SDC has changed the recipe? I was checking out Buckshot Annie's on the Food and Restaurant Guide, and the photo of Family Feud looks different than what it was when we were there last (Christmas 07), like they're using the pre-breaded okra found in the frozen foods asile. We're going back next month and I've had my taster set for this for about a month now...am I going to be disappointed? |

HOnestly I would have to say that everything to eat there is yummy!! Especially the skillet meal at the Tater Patch and chocolate covered strawberries from Brown's Candy. |
