Q: What are the best family shows?

Q:  My kids love the rides at Silver Dollar City, but sometimes I would like for us all to watch a show together (especially when it's hot!). What are the best shows for the whole family?

A:  With the ever changing festival line up at Silver Dollar City there is always a great selection of shows for the entire family. Your kids will be amazed by the Zunyi Acrobats of China during World-Fest. The stunts are incredible and the costumes are stunning. Kids Fest offers the best show selection for kids and a great way to escape the summer heat. During Kids Fest there will be the new Magic of Peter Gossamer Show and Circus of the Century on Ice. For the little ones, there will be a new VeggieTales show this summer that is sure to make you laugh. It's called the Invention of Silliness. In addition to all of the beautiful lights during Christmas there is a Dickens' Christmas Carol (a tradition for my family), the Holiday Light Parade and Frosty, a new show this year. I would suggest the Saloon Show, Choctaw Charlie's Frontier Follies, any time of year. If you catch a glimpse of the Street Troupe their antics are sure to entertain. Check out the "Shows" section of silverdollarcity.com for a complete listing of shows on park and downloadable show schedules.

My family really enjoys the kid fest shows. I am going to attempt to go to every festival this year because I'm dying to see all of the shows! With kids getting older and schedules busier it is harder to make the short trips!
