Q: Why can't we bring snacks inside White Water?

Q: Renae asks, "We have a three city pass for this summer. White Water is the only park that will not let us take drinks and snacks into the park, why is that? I know they have food and drink stands like the other parks."

A: The City of Branson passed an ordinance several years ago regarding food items at pools used by the public.  As a water park, White Water must comply with these safety guidelines as outlined by the City of Branson, and immediately implemented a policy restricting personal food items in the park.  However, a shaded picnic area was built near the parking lot for guests to use when bringing their own food items from home.  I know it can be a small inconvenience, but the folks at White Water truly want their guests to be a comfortable as possible.

You can't bring in food, but you can buy it in the park! Is that not the same thing? It's hard to understand that.

White Water takes every precaution to ensure the safety of their guests. Some regulations, including the policy on brought-from-home food, are unique simply due to the water park setting. For example, it is important that no food with the potential to be contaminated get into the water, or makes anyone ill who will be in the water. It is therefore necessary that White Water control the preparation for all food items consumed on park. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for writing.
