What's your favorite holiday memory?

My church is getting people in the congregation to write their favorite holiday traditions/ memories to include in a special memory book for our Christmas Eve services. Of course, I'm thinking of writing mine but thought it would be interesting to hear other Moms' favorite memories.

Q: Renae asks, "I have lost three of the four seasons pass that we have. I need to know what I will need to do and if I will have to pay to get new ones."

A: Renae, just stop by the Guest Relations booth on your way into the park. The nice folks there can look up your passes and print replacements. There is no charge for this service the first time. However, there is a small charge ($5, I think) if you lose your pass again during the season.

A: Well, I can say for sure that Waterworks Waterboggan, Lost River and American Plunge are closed. For many of the rides it depends on the weather and/or outside temperature. A: You will have better luck avoiding crowds by visiting the day before Thanksgiving. If the weather is mild, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after are some of the busiest days during the holiday season.

Talk about frosty - it was a mere 46º outside when my family headed down to Silver Dollar City last Saturday to check out the Christmas festival. We raided the closets for our cold weather gear and bundled up for a good time.

I know in the past that after a day in the park you can upgrade your single day admission for a very small fee (around 15.00). I know I have probably said it about every festival this year, but An Old Time Christmas really is my all-time favorite festival at Silver Dollar City.

I just love seeing all of the sparkling lights decorating the trees and buildings, the shows that can't help but get you into the spirit of the season, and of course, the delicious hot chocolate!
