Believe it or not, my husband Mark played in a band that opened for The Imperials back in 1979! One of our favorite things to do after Christmas is enjoy the last 5 days of Silver Dollar City's Old Time Christmas.

I truly believe that this is the most wonderful time of the year...but after all the parties, cookie exchanges, shopping, making my list and checking it twice, it's great to leave all that behind and head to the City one last time for the season.

Nothing conjures up more memories of holiday magic and imagination for me than the image of Santa Claus. The Night Before Christmas has always been one of my favorite holiday stories with the vivid descriptions of Santa spreading joy and good cheer.

My Favorite Visiting Craftsman

As you walk through the streets of Silver Dollar City and view all the amazing visiting craftsmen, it's difficult to pick your favorite craft...but, this year I'd have to say it's the Fine Hand Turned Pottery by Jeff Walker located at the front of the Frisco Barn.
