Q: Which Rides Are Best For The Youngest Riders?
Posted by Mom411 in Silver Dollar City, Rides, Questions, Celebration City
A: Silver Dollar City is filled with sights and sounds that excite even the youngest guests! Geyser Gulch is a great play area for toddlers, complete with foam ball shooters and surprise water spouts. Your entire family may also enjoy riding the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train which provides a 20-minute ride through the Ozark countryside. And of course, everyone enjoys the petting zoo! For more information about ride requirements, see our Rides Guide.
Silver Dollar City's National Kids' Fest runs through August 10th featuring shows and activities are geared toward entertaining you and your little one including Ice Circus and The Magic of Peter Gossamer. Your 1 year old might enjoy the new VeggieTales show, The Invention of Silliness. Kids are amazed by the Kids Concoctions activity area, with all kinds of ooey, gooey things for them to interact with. Plus, the City's square is filled with hands-on activities for our smallest guests.
Celebration City offers several options for little riders including the Bumble Bee, Flying Aces, The Flying Carpet, The Frisco Line, La Twirl and Lil' Swinger. While these rides will allow guests under the age of 3 to ride with someone 5 or older, due to height restrictions, guests over 52-56" (height varies with ride) may not accompany riders. For more information about rides at Celebration City, please see our Rides Guide.
I hope this information is helpful, and you enjoy your visit to Silver Dollar City Attractions!

I have more experience with Silver Dollar City, but I have been taking both my children there since they were newborns, and there are several things to do. One of the rides that we took my daughter on when she was just 3 months old was the Shootout at the Flooded Mine. It is basically just a ride that you float along in water, and they have guns in the boats that you shoot at laser targets. You can take your bags, cameras, everything in there, you barely move. Also, they have the new Grand Exposition area that has several smaller Carnival type rides that are for small children. I saw many 2 and 3 year olds on several of those rides, as well. They always have alot of kid-themed shows that will hold your childs attention, as well. I would definitely recommend it, even at a young age. You will not be disappointed. |
