World Fest is my absolute favorite festival at SDC. We always make plans to take the family at least once during World Fest and we just spent the last weekend enjoying the sights, sounds, and foods from around the world.

My priority was to see both Feet of Fire and Beggar's Row which I accomplished. Although I enjoyed both shows very much, Beggar's Row was tops for me hands down. I loved the show, the music, and the dynamic personalities of the group, especially Bob Ferguson. I hope that they will return again next year and for years to come!

We enjoyed eating at the World Food Barn. We all chose something different - husband and one daughter enjoyed kolaches, I had bockwurst (heavenly and hard to find but a food from my own childhood!), another child had fish and chips, and another enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs. We shared a French eclair too - wonderful!

I've always loved anything to do with Irish step dancing, so I'm really looking forward to the Feet of Fire Irish Celebration this year! But, I would have to say I love the diversity that World-Fest brings to the Ozarks and always enjoy all of the groups. To see all the costumes and meet performers from around the world is a real treat...it's like the world has been brought to our doorstep and we get to see their heritage in song and dance! I've secretly always been a closet clogger and have always wanted to learn Irish Step Dancing. Please don't laugh if you see me steppin' up the streets of the City whistling an Irish tune...everyone's got to have a dream, right? - Noel
