Headin' West Leaves the City on Sunday

There’s something riveting and fun about revisiting the lives of those courageous Americans who packed up everything they owned (or at least everything they could fit in their Conestoga wagon) and headed west. I grew up listening to my great-grandmother share stories from her pioneer youth that captured my imagination and literally transported me back in time. We would sit on her front porch swing, snap green beans, and she’d tell me stories. Her stories were memorable, complete with heroes, villains, rattlesnakes, and true-life examples of human perseverance.
If you’re in the mood for a good pioneer story, don't miss seeing Silver Dollar City’s Headin’ West. This spirited original musical will take you back in time to the 1860’s when the American westward expansion changed this country forever. The story is told through the life experiences of Luke Stanley as he loads up his family and leaves St. Louis headed for California.
Here’s a tip: Show Lover’s Passes are available for this show (also for the upcoming A Dickens' Christmas Carol). The passes guarantee VIP seating and give you the flexibility to show up just before the curtain goes up. There is a surcharge, but if you don’t want to worry about missing the show, waiting in line, or getting there in time to snag the best seats, Show Lover’s Passes are a great way to go.
Remember, if you want to catch Headin’ West, you only have until Sunday, October 25! (last show is Sunday, 3:30 pm)
