It's Christmastime at the City...

...and we love it! We took advantage of the beautiful mild weather we've been having and headed out to the City last night to start getting in the holiday mood. We didn't make it too far through the entrance though. We stopped at Eva & Delilah's Bakery to watch some HUGE cinnamon rolls being made and of course we had to eat one too! Didn't really matter that we hadn't had dinner yet. If you've ever been to SDC before you are familiar with that wonderful smell that hits your nose right as you enter the park! From there we found ourselves wandering and simply taking in the sight of all those lights.
We ate some dinner and watched the Holiday Parade - a favorite thing to do. We also got to see The Living Nativity, which is a dramatic and musical retelling of the story of the birth of Christ. It's a very moving performance. The scenery is amazing and the kids were excited to get to pet the donkey after the show. We ended our evening over at McHaffie's Homestead listening to the Homestead Pickers.
It was a beautiful night to be out enjoying the City and the perfect way to start feeling that holiday spirit. Make sure you don't miss Christmas at SDC!

... We went to the City this weekend too - it was gorgeous! I love Christmas shopping while I'm there... I can always find unique gifts (both big and little things) that I know my family and friends will love. It's fun to tell them, "I got it at Silver Dollar City!" |
