One of my favorite things about summertime is the way the daylight hours trickle well into the evening leaving plenty of opportunity for playing and spending time outdoors during this time of year. 

We're dog lovers in this family.  Our big chocolate lab, Lola, is a beloved family member and we recently added Buddy to our brood, a cute little brown dachshund mix. 

As the mother of a child with a peanut allergy, I know how challenging it can be to deal with a severe food allergy, especially when vacationing.

I know we think a lot here about Moms.  It's a blog dedicated to Moms for goodness sake!  But, there wouldn't be Moms without Dads, so in honor of Father's day I'd like to make a short tribute to the dad/man in my life.

It's definitely summer in the Ozarks - humid and hot!  Fortunately, you can spend the day enjoying SDC and find plenty of ways to stay cool.  The kids and I decided to head over and check out KidsFest but we were prepared to have some cool fun!
