My Favorite Visiting Craftsman

As you walk through the streets of Silver Dollar City and view all the amazing visiting craftsmen, it's difficult to pick your favorite craft...but, this year I'd have to say it's the Fine Hand Turned Pottery by Jeff Walker located at the front of the Frisco Barn.
There’s something riveting and fun about revisiting the lives of those courageous Americans who packed up everything they owned (or at least everything they could fit in their Conestoga wagon) and headed west. I grew up listening to my great-grandmother share stories from her pioneer youth that captured my imagination and literally transported me back in time. We would sit on her front porch swing, snap green beans, and she’d tell me stories. Her stories were memorable, complete with heroes, villains, rattlesnakes, and true-life examples of human perseverance.
Well, we just finished another 'Dinner Party' at the Culinary School. We started these wonderful events in September and before we knew it, almost every dinner was sold out! Obviously it's something that our guests wanted.

It was a beautiful weekend in the Ozarks to enjoy the outdoors! On Saturday, after cheering on my oldest son's football team, we headed out to the City to take in what we could of the Homeschool Weekend activities.
