Young Christian's Weekend - March 26-28

Maybe you didn't know this, but Silver Dollar City has been hosting Young Christians' Weekend for over 30 years!
Believe it or not, my husband Mark played in a band that opened for The Imperials back in 1979! Yes, the event has stayed current with the times and is designed to encourage today's teens and youth leaders with hot Christian bands, spirit filled workshops with amazing speakers and mini concerts throughout the park. So, what's the weekend all about you ask? Well, this year they'll kick things off on March 26th with a Friday Night Concert in Echo Hollow Amphitheatre at 8:30 p.m. featuring the band DecembeRadio. On Saturday March 27th, hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and there are concerts and workshops throughout the park and all the fun thrilling rides and attractions of Silver Dollar City. Plus, the big rally is held in Echo Hollow Amphitheatre at noon, 3:00 and 6:00 pm with speaker Doug Compton and music from Lincoln Brewster. On March 28th, Sunday Worship Services are at 8:30 and 11:00 in Echo Hollow and feature music by 33 Miles and speaker Joe White of Kanakuk Kamps, plus the park is open for fun from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
To attend Young Christians' Weekend you need to make a reservation. This will enable your group to attend the events in Echo Hollow which require a special ticket/id as seating is limited. So, moms...if your church youth group hasn't made their reservations or maybe they don't even know about the event, spread the good word. Or if your kids aren't part of a youth group, you can make a reservation for your family on your own.
Everytime I attend the event my heart is overwhelmed watching the thousands of teens worshipping God and responding to the messages in Echo Hollow. You never know...it could change the course of your teens lives along with their friends! The scripture for the weekend sums it all up: "Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call on him while he is near." Isaiah 55:6
