It's definitely summer in the Ozarks - humid and hot!  Fortunately, you can spend the day enjoying SDC and find plenty of ways to stay cool.  The kids and I decided to head over and check out KidsFest but we were prepared to have some cool fun! 

Here are some clues... school is out, we've seen our first lightning bugs, we picked cherries at our neighbors and baked a pie... have you guessed it yet? That's right! It's time for a season full of Summer-time fun!

Hooray!  The new season has finally begun and  our family was so excited to head out to the city this past weekend for Family Spring Break Days.   It feels like spring is here now and summer is right around the corner. 

Some sure signs of spring are finally showing up here in the Ozarks - the tiniest little tulip leaves pushing their way through the ground in my garden; I actually left the house this weekend without a heavy winter coat; and Silver Dollar City opens for Family Spring Break Days in just 10 days!

February is just about gone and in our family we get excited when March arrives.  This happens for a number of reasons...March means Spring is close and warmer weather will be coming soon, our number one son has a birthday in March, and March also means we will soon be able to visit the City again!
