So with a warm cup of coffee in hand, I went surfing the web to find out what the City has in store for us during the 2010 season. What I saw definitely got me in the mood for some Capri pants and t-shirts! Silver Dollar City's newest ride, RiverBlast is a water-soaked escapade with plenty of action for the whole family.
The story behind the new adventure set to open in March is that notorious trouble makers Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn got lost along the Mississippi River during the summer and washed up at an abandoned Paddlewheel operation along the White River. Who knows what sort of mischief those two have stirred up along the river bank, but it looks like it will be, well, a blast!
In fact, RiverBlast promises big time water adventures for city visitors this season. Family fun awaits those looking to cool off in the summer heat by taking a ride on one of the river rafts. Each rider is equipped with a super soaker ready to take aim at targets placed along their path, but watch out - some of the targets shoot back! It's an all-out water war with passengers on neighboring rafts and even soaker armed on-lookers along the shores.
Check out www.SDCRiverBlast.com for a video about the new ride as well as fun ride facts and answers to frequently asked questions. This will definitely give your family something to look forward to come Spring. I just wish it would hurry up!
