What's your favorite festival?

The tinkle of steel drums, the toe-tapping melodies of the fiddle and banjo, a sprinkle of magic, voices raised in sounds of praise, hand-crafted heirlooms and the twinkle of lights all mingle on the streets of Silver Dollar City to make up the six fantastic festivals presented each season.
Along with a yearlong Birthday party, the exciting festival lineup at the City is sure to keep your family entertained all year. Silver Dollar City showcases performers from all around the globe during World-Fest (April 8-May 9). A new show this year, Fiery Fiddles, looks particularly spectacular with a unique combination of talented musicians and aerial acrobatics.
Next in the festival lineup is 19 days of all-star bluegrass performances from the likes of Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Grascals and Martin Family Band along with some of the best barbeque around during the Bluegrass & BBQ festival (May 13-May 31).
The Magic of Peter Gossamer returns for a final season during National KidsFest (June 5-August 8) along with special appearances throughout the festival by some of your kids' favorite characters like Dora & Diego, SpongeBob & Patrick and Dexter & DeeDee. New this summer, see incredible feats performed by some furry four-legged friends in Chris Perondi's Stunt Dog Experience. Plus, with the ALL-NEW RiverBlast ride and Moonlight Madness ride nights there will be plenty of fun for your family to enjoy on the rides and attractions all summer long.
And that's just the first three festivals! There's even more to entertain and excite throughout the fall with Southern Gospel Picnic (August 26-September 6) and National Harvest Festival (September 11-October 30). Plus, the best way to spread holiday cheer is with a visit to the City during An Old Time Christmas (November 6-December 30).
So Moms, what's your favorite festival? Mine's a tossup, I love them all!!

... I agree...there are many great things at each festival. We always make it a point to visit during World Fest, Harvest Fest, and Christmas Fest. Those are our top three. I can't choose just one! |
