Q: Lee asks, "Does enjoyment of SDC require a lot of walking, especially up hill? Is there some type of in-park transportation available to return a guest to the entry gate if needed? Is this an activity suitable for seniors, or better left to the younger folks?"
A: Silver Dollar City does require quite a bit of walking and the terrain is somewhat hilly. It is very shady and there a lots of places to sit down a take a break if you need to rest for a moment. Also, park maps are available at the front gate so that you can plan the best route to take around the park. Silver Dollar City does have free transortation available from the parking lots to the front gate. There is not, however, a transportation service within the park. Electric Convenience Vehicles can be rented for about $34 per day at the stroller booth. Guests of all ages enjoy Silver Dollar City and I hope you decide to make it your next vacation destination as well!
