Q: Lindy asks, "My daughter is now 7 months old, we have been looking for some things our family can do together.
We'd like to start finding things the 3 of us can all enjoy, what would be an appropriate age to begin taking my daughter to Silver Dollar City? and what rides would be best?" A: I think Silver Dollar City has a lot to offer families with children of all ages. I brought my daughter to the park a couple of times during her first year of life. She tended to enjoy checking out the sights and sounds as well as some of the more fast paced shows like the Saloon Show and Zunyi Acrobats of China. You might consider visiting during Kids' Fest (June 7-August 10) when there is a great line up of family entertainment. Check out my previous post for more details about Kids' Fest shows. At 7 months she won't be big enough to do a lot of rides, but there are some things I think she would enjoy. I would start with the Train Ride, a trip through Grandfather's Mansion and the Homestead Barnyard. At your daughter's age everything is new and exciting, so she will likely have a blast just experiencing the new sights and sounds associated with visiting the park. Also, check out the post about nursing stations and family assist restrooms to help in planning your day at the park. Be sure to take lots of pictures capturing the memories you are making as a new little family! Set as favorite Bookmark
