Q: Maxine asks, "Are there any days when the crowds seem to be better at the different parks? How do you start planning a week's stay? We all have season passes to all the parks."
A: I would recommend trying to visit sometime during the week instead of on the weekends to avoid crowds. Attendance is typically higher at all of the parks from Friday-Sunday. Celebration City is the best laid out for dealing with crowds, so if you have to visit one of the parks on a Saturday it would be the best. Also, think about coming early in the day to any of the parks (CC opens at 3PM) for lighter crowds. Also, consider making a trip during the spring or fall instead of the summer months. The busiest time of year to visit is during July. A visit during the spring or fall will give you a chance to see some of the unique festivals at Silver Dollar City like Bluegrass & BBQ, Southern Gospel Picnic or the National Harvest Festival. And while the other parks are open on a more limited schedule, there tend to be fewer people than during peak season Set as favorite Bookmark
